What is Communication Club?
Communication Club is an after-school enrichment program designed to give kids more opportunities to practice the skills they use to communicate, connect, and participate with confidence.
Through games, movement, creative challenges, teamwork, and hands-on Experiences, kids practice speech, language, and social communication skills while doing what kids do best—playing, creating, and connecting with other kids
Created by a speech-language pathologist. Designed to feel like a club not therapy.
What Kids Practice
Speech & Language
Practice expressing ideas, building vocabulary, telling stories, explaining, describing, asking and answering questions, and using clearer speech.
Social Skills
Practice starting and maintaining conversations, listening, taking turns, reading social cues, collaborating, and navigating interactions with other kids.
Build confidence speaking up, sharing ideas, trying new things, working as part of a group, and connecting with others.

Communication Club isn't a worksheet-based program. Each week brings a new Experience designed to get kids talking, thinking, creating, moving, and working together. All while communication practice happens naturally along the way.

Build, design, invent, and make while practicing describing, explaining, requesting, and sharing ideas.

Games and active challenges get kids communicating, listening, problem-solving, and working together.

Parents Stay in the Loop
The fun happens at Communication Club, but the connection doesn’t stop when the Experience ends. Families get a simple look at what their child is doing, the communication skills being practiced, and easy ways to continue the conversation at home.

Frequently asked questions
Is Communication Club speech therapy?
Communication Club is an enrichment program, not individual speech-language therapy. Experiences are designed by a speech-language pathologist to create fun, meaningful opportunities for children to practice communication skills with other kids.
How long is Communication Club?
Communication Clubs are offered in 10- or 12-week sessions, depending on the school calendar and location. Each weekly 50-minute meeting features a new Experience, with specific dates and schedules provided for each school.
Who can join Communication Club?
Communication Club is designed for kids with a wide range of communication styles and abilities. Children do not need a diagnosis, IEP, or speech-language therapy services to participate.
How do I know when registration opens?
Choose your child's school above for current program information and registration updates. Space is limited and availability may vary by location.
What happens during a club meeting?
Each meeting centers around a hands-on Experience involving games, movement, creativity, problem-solving, or teamwork. Communication skills are intentionally woven into the fun.
How do I know what skills my child needs to focus on?
Before Communication Club begins, families complete a brief Parent Communication Questionnaire to share their child’s strengths, areas for growth, and priorities. With parent permission, we may also consider relevant information from a child’s school or speech-language pathologist. As we get to know each child through Club Experiences, we continue learning about the communication skills we can support along the way.
